The first whiskey distilled in London since the closure of the Lea Valley Distillery, which was established in 1767 and based in Stratfrod; closed its doors for the final time in the early 1900's.
Tasting Notes:
First aromas are chocolate and lightly roasted coffee, followed by banana and pear notes, with a hint of apple mint to finish.
On the palate, rich cinnamon and stewed peaches complement the beeswax note from the oak.
The finish is a lingering white pepper spice, dark cherry and a hint of macadamia.
The Grain is 100% Rye.
Twice distilled.
Laid Down on 31st October 2014.
Rested for over 1,400 days in New English Oak barrels.
Limited run of 251 bottles.
